Ashley & Brian
Elopement in Florence Italy
Tuscany is one of the most-wanted elopement locations in the world. If you have come here searching for elopement ideas, you will find some inspiration for a beautiful place to get married in Florence, Italy.
Most couples choose to have their small wedding here in autumn or winter when the city is less crowded with tourists. We already shared an autumn photo session in Florence and a winter elopement in San Gimignano. On the other hand, the following story is different and hopefully will give you even more ideas for your destination elopement. Please scroll down to start reading the story.

Villa le Fontanelle
While searching for unique places to elope, Ashley and Brian found Villa le Fontanelle. The property lies on the hills overlooking Florence and offers a variety of options for a small wedding. The suite where Ashley was getting ready is very bright, and it’s perfect for photos.

The panorama
The view from the garden is also breathtaking.

The chapel
The couple opted for a symbolic, candle-lit ceremony in the chapel. On the other hand, you could celebrate your elopement on the lawn in a secluded area of the park.

The photoshoot
The villa has a broad terrace overlooking Florence. You could easily organize your elopement without moving from the property. The locations are so many and so different! Nevertheless, Ashley and Brian’s wedding package included a vintage car that later brought us to Florence.

... and off to Florence!
Eloping in Florence
In January, you may find Florence less crowded, so it was easier to shoot around the central area of Ponte Vecchio. So we just jumped in the car and eloped to Florence!

San Miniato al Monte
San Miniato al Monte Church is only ten minutes away from the city center, and the view up there is magnificent. The area also offers many backdrops, old doors, and a monumental stairway.

A cozy wedding dinner
Eventually, we’re back to Villa Le Fontanelle for a romantic, candle-lit dinner. The florist set up a gorgeous table decoration in a small room. The perfect finale for our photoshoot!
