Tara & Ishaan
A Picnic marriage proposal
This Picnic marriage proposal was one of the most exciting we ever planned. At first, Ishaan wrote to us about his idea to pop the question to his girlfriend in Italy. In Particular, he thought about something like this surprise photo session: somewhere in the countryside, in a small town, or by a castle. As you probably know, Tuscany is full of similar settings. Therefore, we first invited him to take a more in-depth look at our website. Through the many galleries we posted these years, it was easier to narrow down the options.
They were planning to stay in Florence, but at the same time, he wanted to capture the rolling hills and overall rustic feel of the area. For this reason, we immediately thought about Certaldo.
Certaldo and the Canonica Hill Park
This little hamlet is just 40 minutes away from Florence. Moreover, we could shoot in a cozy medieval town and the most typical Tuscan countryside. Canonica Hill Park is only 5 minutes outside the village, and it’s an ample space visited mainly by the locals.
We suggested this option to Ishaan during a FaceTime call, and he looked, enthusiastic. That would be his first time visiting this region, and they were not considering driving. For this reason, we shared the contact of a private driver, who brought them directly to the park.
Picnic and Romantic Dinner
At this point, we needed an excuse to bring them there. So we inquired Eleonora and Erik at the Osteria del Vicario about the possibility of organizing a picnic for our clients. Not only do they provide a beautiful setting in the fields, but they also offer a Romantic Dinner in their secret garden. We’re quoting directly from their website:
“Pure Italian ingredients, with an eye to the past and the full head to the future, the innovative perspective of what is the real Italian soul kitchen. Our masterpiece is the terrace, suspended between earth and sky with a stunning view of the surrounding Tuscany countryside, a temple of taste and love for good food.”
